The Restaurant at Knapp Vineyards (607/869-9271)--This restaurant is a beautiful indoor/outdoor facility that emphasizes innovative food. And with an on-premise herb garden and fresh fruits and vegetables from neighboring farms to draw from, the restaurant is a culinary delight. The chef is particularly adept at creating foods that pair well with Knapp wines, including creamy roasted garlic soup, pan-fried trout with bacon sage couscous and spiced rib lamp chops with onion and black bean relish. An additional treat is the revolving display of local artwork and profusion of fresh-cut flowers everywhere. Located in Romulus, on the western shore of Cayuga Lake and overlooking its own vineyards, The Restaurant at Knapp Vineyards is open April through December.
