Taughannock Farms Inn (607/387-7711)--Overlooking the western shore of Cayuga Lake, Taughannock Farms Inn satisfies both visual and taste sensations. While diners take in the breathtaking view they can enjoy entr6es such as portabello mushroom Wellington and prime rib of beef, all of which come with an appetizer, salad, vegetable and dessert. (The chocolate mousse terrine is a particular favorite of chocoholics!) The wine list is extensive, too, including several New York selections as well as ports and other dessert wines. Located just north of Ithaca on Route 89, the inn is open for dinner from April through December from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
